The highlight of this retreat is that you get to experience the most authentic holistic sessions twice a day! The retreat also includes outings like treks to the ancient Kunjapuri temple of Rishikesh, a meditation session in the old cave of Rishi Vashishtha, and the serene Ganga Aarti at the most famous ghat of Rishikesh, Triveni — plus a cultural tour to the village of Pav Ki Devi. We allow only 8 guests to the retreat at one time, so every guest receives personalised attention from our mentors. Retreat dates are kept flexible so they can suit every individual, and you can adjust your retreat as per your travel schedule to Rishikesh, India. Our retreat is not like some business package — it feels more like a yogic holiday with your yogic family!
Rishikesh is known as the land of ancient and profound sages! This is a place known for its best culture vibe in India — it holds the spiritual heritage of the country. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas and adorned with the sparkling water of the holy river Ganges, this becomes a perfect place if you want to reconnect with your natural roots and experience holistic practices like yoga, meditation and pranayama. The air of this place is clean, and the environment brings you close to Mother Nature.
Rishikesh is the birthplace of great saints and yogis, which is why yoga is more like a legacy here. Several sacred events took place here — one of which is that the Beatles chose Rishikesh to stay at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the year 1968! Yoga is not new or modern in Rishikesh; it still speaks the holistic tone of years-old practice by great sages and saints. The spiritual rhythm of the place, the mantras, the temple bells, the riverside ashrams and the monks and sages add a lot to your yogic experience here. Several places and locations are here where you can go on excursions and heal with nature. Rishikesh's culture becomes a perfect support to the yoga retreats here — this is why Om Setu's yoga retreat is world-famous and is the best retreat in Rishikesh!
People from all over the world prefer learning and experiencing yoga in the Yoga Capital of the World! The viewpoints, the certified centre, the certified gurus, and the legacy of yoga here are irreplaceable. So, if you're looking for the most authentic yogic experience, then Rishikesh is your place!
Rishikesh weather by season, so you can pick the right dates
This is the best time to join a yoga retreat in Rishikesh. The temperature ranges from 15–28°C, the sky is clear, and even the Ganga River is in safe condition. You can practice yoga under the open sky and also enjoy adventurous sports like river rafting during this season. Book your seat at least 4–6 weeks before, as this is the peak season.
This season is quite cold in Rishikesh, with temperatures ranging from 5–18°C. You'll see fewer crowds — a perfect time for those looking for intense yoga practice, since summer heat and sweat won't bother you. You can also enjoy outdoor yoga at any time of the day.
This is the summer and monsoon time in Rishikesh. Summers are very hot, with the temperature spiking up to 40°C, so outdoor activities are limited. It can be a little bothersome for those who cannot withstand the heat — but if you want to do indoor yoga practices, you can still join our retreat at this time.
So September, November, or February to April becomes the best time to practice yoga in Rishikesh! If you cannot visit at this time, then don't worry — our retreats are open throughout the year. You can join any time, and we'll ensure you have the best experience in every month of the year.
Know why travellers from 45+ countries choose us again and again
We do not offer just one yoga or pranayama session — we let our guests experience the holistic practices twice a day. Morning yoga is usually Hatha flow during sunrise, and calming pranayama in the evening, in the famous Tapovan.
We do not believe in increasing the batch size as much as possible. Every individual needs personalised attention and support during the retreat, so we keep our batch size very small and allow just 8 people at a time — with real one-on-one posture correction and daily support.
Our only aim is to spread yoga among as many people as possible to ensure a healthy and holistic world. Our retreats are beginner-friendly, and a person with zero experience in yoga can also be a part of it.
Our founder, Mr Anil, belongs to Rishikesh itself. He has seen yoga very closely, and is best at hospitality and planning excursions to the rare spots in Rishikesh like Vashisht Cave and Kunjapuri Devi Trek. At every step of your yogic journey with us, he will always be there!
Sattvic yet tasty meals define our cooking. We follow ancient Ayurvedic principles for full-fledged diet support — our meals are purely vegetarian and freshly prepared for our guests. No shared rooms and no hidden charges!
Yoga retreat does not only include yoga — it also includes a complimentary session of meditation at the end of every evening, mostly by the river Ganges. It helps in quietening the mental chatter and leaves you calmer at the end of the day, and facilitates deep sleep so you'll feel at home.

We've just returned from a phenomenal 10 day retreat with Om Setu in Tapovan, Rishikesh. When we initially booked our trip some months ago we were overwhelmed by there being so many yoga companies in Rishikesh to choose from. We didn't know for sure what we would experience when deciding upon Om Setu. Any uncertainties soon dispersed upon arrival & meeting our host. Over the course of our 10 day trip, They were the perfect hosts and took very good care of our needs immersing us into cultural and local excursions and ceremonies & experiences. Teachers are friendly, insightful & talented meditation & pranayama teacher and kind & thoughtful host. As a result, our trip was an unforgettable experience. We have so many beautiful memories which we will hold dear in our hearts & will be returning. If you are considering an immersive experience of Rishikesh with a caring company then look no further than Om Setu, I highly recommend & rest assured you will be in good hands. 🙏🧡🇮🇳🧘♂️

Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas on the bendy bank of the river Ganges is the Om Setu Yogashala 🧘🏻♀️🧡 You’d think, that because of the stunning mountain back drop and mesmerising green flow of the sacred river just a stones throw from your room, that it’s all about the location. But its not just that - the amazing programme put together for my best friend and me was delivered by the loveliest human beings I’ve ever met, and it’s people that make your memories and experiences so special. All are funny, kind and welcoming and love to share their knowledge with you. If you go, (and you really should!!), say hello to my far away friends for me. 🥰But not to worry if you forget - I will return!✨ …Oh and just a heads up; it’s really quite windy in the mornings on the Ganges, so take a hoodie!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Om Setu Yogashala. We were so well looked after by Host and his team. The quality and professionalism of the teachers was outstanding. Arti is a fantastic yoga teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner. Bhuppi is an exceptional Pranayama and Meditation teacher who generously shares his knowledge and wisdom. All this on the banks of the river Ganges. Perfect location. Host has organised a wonderful schedule which includes many excursions and everyone is so giving of their time. Felt very well looked after. Really going to miss all people. It was quite sad to say goodbye.

You will have an amazing experience if you chose this retreat in Rishikesh. Host is one of the most genuine kind and caring people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He ensures that every day of your yoga retreat experience is wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, he is flexible and will adjust the timetable in any way you wish to ensure that every experience you hope for is achieved. He took such good care of us that by the time we left we felt a bond like we were family. Bhupi Ji is a remarkable teacher of meditation, pranayama and yoga / Hindu philosophy and a wonderful human being, we learned so much from him and he took equally good care of us along with our incredible excursions. The location of the accommodation is outstanding - you open your room door directly onto a terrace which is on the beach of the beautiful Ganga. Located at the edge of Tapovan this is a tranquil and beautiful spot. I cannot recommend this experience more highly.
