These terms and conditions govern your booking and participation in any yoga retreat, teacher training course, or program offered by Om Setu Yogashala ("we", "us"), Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. By submitting a booking form or paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
1. Enrollment & Payment
A place on any program is confirmed only once the booking deposit has been received. Payment terms, deposit amount, and balance-payment timelines are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
2. Health & Fitness Disclaimer
Yoga, pranayama, and related practices involve physical activity. By joining a program, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate and will inform us in advance, in writing, of any injury, medical condition, pregnancy, or physical limitation that may affect your practice. Our teachers can offer modifications, but you participate at your own risk and are responsible for consulting your physician before travel if you have any health concerns.
3. Code of Conduct
We ask all guests to be respectful of teachers, staff, and fellow participants, to follow the shared schedule and quiet hours, and to respect local customs and the sanctity of nearby temples and ghats. Alcohol, smoking, and non-vegetarian food are not permitted on the premises. We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave, without refund of the remaining fee, in case of behaviour that endangers or seriously disrupts other guests or staff.
4. Schedule & Itinerary Changes
The daily schedule, excursions, and teaching staff shown on our website are indicative. We may need to adjust timings, substitute an excursion, or change a teacher due to weather, local conditions, festivals, or circumstances beyond our control. We will always aim to offer an equivalent experience.
5. Accommodation & Facilities
Room allocation is based on the package you book (shared or private). In rare cases where a specific room is unavailable, we will provide an equivalent or upgraded alternative at no extra cost.
6. Photography & Media Consent
We may take photographs or short videos during retreats and courses for use on our website, brochures, and social media. If you do not wish to be included, please let us know in writing before or during your program and we will exclude you from future use.
7. Travel, Visa & Documentation
You are responsible for arranging a valid passport, applicable Indian visa, vaccinations, and travel insurance required for your trip. We are not liable for any loss arising from visa refusal, flight delays, or missing travel documents.
8. Limitation of Liability
Om Setu Yogashala is not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, illness, or travel disruption arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural events, government restrictions, or third-party transport providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
9. Intellectual Property
All text, images, and video on this website are the property of Om Setu Yogashala unless otherwise credited, and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uttarakhand.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to your program.
